Do you want straight teeth?
It’s possible with Invisalign!
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional metal braces. The aligners are custom-made for each patient using a patented, virtually invisible plastic material. In as little as six-months, we can get you the smile you’ve always wanted.
How does Invisalign Work?
- Consultation & Plan: Your Dentist takes a detailed 3D digital scan or impressions of your teeth to create a precise treatment plan, which includes a virtual preview of your expected results (called a ClinCheck®).
- Custom Aligners: A series of unique, custom-made aligners are manufactured based on this plan.
- Wearing: You wear each set of aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for one to two weeks, as directed by your doctor.
- Gradual Movement: Each aligner is slightly different and applies gentle, constant pressure to specific teeth to gradually shift them into the correct position.
- Check-ups: You will have regular check-ups (usually every 6-8 weeks) to monitor progress and receive your next sets of aligners.
- Retention: Once the treatment is complete, you will need to wear a retainer (such as a Vivera™ retainer) to keep your teeth in their new position and prevent them from shifting back.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
- Aesthetics: The aligners are virtually invisible, making them a discreet option for you.
- Removable: They can be removed for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing, so there are no food restrictions and oral hygiene is easier to maintain.
- Comfort: Made from smooth, flexible plastic, they are generally more comfortable than traditional metal braces, which can cause irritation from wires and brackets.
- Predictable: Advanced 3D imaging technology allows for precise and predictable results, with many cases being completed in 6 to 18 months, depending on complexity
