Dr Ciro Gilvetti is a highly trained Specialist Oral Surgeon dedicated to delivering high-quality, comfortable and patient-centred care. He has extensive experience in oral surgery and oral medicine, including complex extractions, dental implant placement, bone augmentation procedures and restorative treatments. He also has significant expertise in diagnosing and managing infective, premalignant and immunological conditions affecting the mouth.
Dr Gilvetti currently works as an Associate Specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Queen Victoria Hospital and serves as an Associate Clinical Lecturer at University College London, where he contributes to the education and training of dental students and early-career clinicians. Throughout his career he has mentored numerous dental professionals and regularly teaches courses in oral medicine and surgical techniques.
Originally fascinated by medicine and the science of how the body functions, Dr Gilvetti developed a particular interest in the mouth as a gateway to overall health. This curiosity led him to pursue dentistry and specialise in oral surgery, combining his interests in diagnosis, disease prevention and surgical treatment.
Known for his calm and reassuring approach, Dr Gilvetti takes pride in helping patients feel at ease while clearly explaining procedures, expected outcomes and aftercare.
Outside of work, he has a strong passion for the sea and enjoys spending time in or near the water whenever possible—from cold Atlantic swims to wakeboarding in London. Above all, he enjoys spending time with his son.
